Shawn Wirth

It was while studying at Southwestern Michigan College that Shawn Wirth first acquired an engineering job—designing modular houses as a senior draftsman at Commodore Corporation—which set him on the path to an accomplished career in the field. Upon graduating with an Associate of Applied Science in 2004, the blue-collar hard worker from Elkhart, Indiana, already equipped with a strong engineering and architectural design resume, continued in this role for another year before serving as the senior architectural and engineering project manager at Fortune Wireless from 2005 to 2009—specializing in cellular and wireless infrastructure design and deployment. He subsequently excelled as a project engineer at JW-Engineering from 2013 to 2017, an architectural/implementation project manager at Xiber LLC from 2017 to 2018, and an architectural/engineering implementation manager at Velocitel from 2018 to 2021. He was personally selected by his firm and Verizon Wireless to work on the design and deployment of Verizon’s first long-term evolution test market.

 Since 2021, Mr. Wirth has owned and operated Bishop Engineering Consulting P.C., where he not only shares his expertise in the field but wields it. He is currently working on a nationwide infrastructure project and holds the title of chief engineering when it comes to 5G data transport. Additionally, he has been heavily involved in numerous special projects over the years, such as airports and stadiums. He credits a lot of his strong work ethic and success to his own resilience and an attitude of “never give up” and “never settle” as well as the assistance from those he has sought out over the course of his career. He deeply values education and family. Looking toward the future, he aspires to continue advancing and progressing in knowledge and experiences, with an eye toward living in Florida in the winter and Indianapolis in the summer.

When he isn’t working on his primary endeavors, Mr. Wirth helps his friend run his Pit Bull rescue house, donating food and supplies and helping in any way he can. At home, he cares for his own beloved Pit Bull Terrier, named Murphy.
